Well the day started of with a call of a DOA ( dead on arrival for those not familiar with the term) it turns out to be a young coyote about a year in age. Dead animals covered in blood first thing in the morning is always a lovely good morning wake up call (sarcastic tone).

Then I responded to a cat in a trap, so that was nothing but claws coming at me from every direction followed by some very loud hissing. Needless to say he was not a happy camper.

Another call rolls in of a skunk in a trap...0o0o0 those are always great fun.......the goal is not to get sprayed..ha easier said then done have to move really slow with those lil stinky critters. Thankfully I did not get sprayed, although when trying to release him back into the wild he decided to be a stubborn pain in the ass and it took a lot of patience and time to get him to come out......and by this I mean finally giving up tipping the cage upside down and shaking him out of the cage. The skunk was fine...and most importantly I did not get sprayed.

I can not wait until it warms up more and calls of rattlesnakes start rolling in, I have only got one so far.  It's really awesome to be able to go and grab these beautiful snakes, and relocate them back into the wild. It is such an awesome feeling. In my line of work I see a lot of hard things and it hurts me emotionally, but I know it is part of my job and I have to deal with it.

PLEASE SPAY/NEAUTER YOUR PETS, I HAVE SEEN THE MANY BARRELS OF DEAD ANIMALS IN THE FREEZER AND IT ALL COULD HAVE BEEN PREVENTED. HELP STOP OVER POPULATION IN SHELTERS.......SPAY AND NEUTER YOUR ANIMALS!!!!

ALSO IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A WONDERFUL PET TO CALL YOUR OWN CHECK OUT YOUR LOCAL ANIMAL SHELTER. THERE ARE    MANY SWEET AND LOVING ANIMALS LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO CALL HOME.  SAVE A LIFE, MAKE A FRIEND FOR LIFE.

never really occured to me that you would have to be dealing with skunks. that would be hard. but then, my dad used to have them as pets when he was a kid... he knows how to descent them.

and the snakes are right down your alley aren't they? you have a couple as friends?
